Today has been a low key play day inside since it is rainy and yucky today. I cleaned house today (blah for cleaning and yah for it being clean now!) while the kids got creative playing. Brayden was playing his deer shooting game and I found him in his "deer stand." He had put the picnic table on top of the futon and was inside it hunting deer on the tv. Pretty creative!
We had a little accident today and Brayden fell on the coffee table and busted his head open. He was screaming terribly and it bled but not too bad. Head injuries always scare me especially when it involves blood! But he was tough and was fine within a few minutes.
Tonight Lolli got Harlem Globetrotter tickets for Pop, Jay, Karis and Brayden. Brayden was so excited and asked 400 times when it was time to go so Jay finally told him when the long hand gets to the 12 (6:00) they could leave. He seriously turned this chair around and sat there watching it. We knew he would be staring for a long time because it was still 15 minutes before they had to leave. That is a long time to watch the clock ha!
While they were gone Lucy and I had the evening to ourselves. We bonded and then when she went to bed, I did some yucky paperwork that I have been putting off like the plague (balance checkbook, filing, tax stuff yuck!), but happy to get it done.
Jay said they had a blast and loved every minute of it. Pop got them these basketballs and they were so excited! They both fell asleep on the way home with their balls in their laps. Precious!
Brayden even slept with his basketball and hasn't put it down!!!
Wow, those basketballs looking huge. Glad they had a good time and you had a good time bonding with Lucy. too sweet
