A friend's baby shower

A friend of ours is having her 1st baby (although she adopted one also) so we helped give a baby shower for her.  We were so thrilled to celebrate since this pregnancy was truly a gift from God!  We can't wait to meet baby Nico!

Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Memorial Day weekend at Nonnies and some of our cousins happened to be in town from North Carolina for a baby shower so we were extra excited to be there!  My kids love getting to see their cousins that they don't get to see that often. Nonnie and Pop-Pops house is always a fun time!

We spent alot of time on their porch, one of my favorite places to "be".  It is a perfect "sittin'" porch!

Nonnie was sweet and let them pick some of her hard earned flowers and place them in the bird bath....

And Nonnie surprised me with some new COACH sunglasses for an early birthday present.  I love them!

Our cousins Katie and Kaycee were there and this is the first time that Lucy has been around them that she will actually remember.  And boy did they make an impact on her.  She absolutely ADORES them...especially Katie.  Katie was such a sweet motherly figure taking care of Lucy and she wouldn't let her put her down.  She fell asleep in her lap in the rocking chair one afternoon.  And then when I picked her up to take her bed, she cried uncontrollably reaching out to Katie.  She followed them around all weekend!

Brayden did wish his cousin Scout and Jett was there (he was really outnumbered by all the girls) however he LOVES his girl cousins.  He treated them like sisters and even hugged and kissed on them!  Shhh don't tell him I saw it!

Sunday night we had all the family over and had BBQ.  It included Nonnie, Pop-Pop, Jess, Grandmother and Pinto, Hudson and Judy, Kelly, Andy, Katie and Kaycee, us and Andy's family even came over for a while too!

Nonnie helped them catch fireflies (lightning bugs).  The kids had a collection of them!

Then Aunt Jess did facial mud masks on everyone and even Brayden wanted to be in on the fun.  He said his was an "army mask."  His daddy wasn't proud of that ha!

The night before the girls left they spent the night at Nonnie's for a cousin sleepover.  They had a ball, didn't get much sleep and we were exhausted ha!

One of the reasons we were there this weekend was a baby shower for Katie and Kaycee's little sister Amelia Rose due in September.  There is a separate post for that coming!

Amy's baby shower...

One of my dearest friends is about to give birth to her 3rd child, but 1st boy.  We are thrilled to be a part of her life during this special time and me along with 2 other friends threw a shower for her on Sunday.
