Happy 7th Birthday Lucy!

Well my baby has a birthday and we planned to celebrate!!! In lieu of a party she decided she wanted to go to stay at a hotel so she could swim!  We were all for that idea!

We took a taxi to start the adventure.  When you do things in a second language its always an adventure ha!

Last day to be SIX!

The kids had a blast swimming! And we had the entire pool to ourselves!  The only bad thing was we had to wear these lovely caps.

This is a hamam, it is a local tradition so we tried it out!

Lucy got to open one present the night before her birthday, the present from her brother.

Going to bed for the last time as a SIX year old...

The morning of her birthday she got to open presents as soon as everyone got up...

We got her a play computer she wanted and money so she could spend it like she wanted (her request).

She picked out her outfit today and wanted to wear one of her princess dresses and crown.  I mean you only get to turn 7 once!!!

I got to eat with a princess for breakfast!!!!

We went to a local jump house at the mall and Lucy had the place all to herself!!!

Then we went to see "Jungle Book" in Turkish.  This is our first movie to see in the local language.

She got to spend some of her money….

Lunch her request..Popeyes!

She said she didn't want cupcakes or a cake, just these awesome ice cream bars!

Dinner…cut up dinner as she calls it.  Her request!

Her best friend called her and she was so excited to talk to her!

AND NOW SHE IS SEVEN!

Can't wait to see what this year holds for you Lucy and how God will use you!

We love you so much and are proud to be your parents!

Happy 7th Birthday Lucy!!!

I absolutely can not believe that my baby is SEVEN years old!  Just yesterday she was born and has brought joy into our lives since day one.  She keeps us on our toes, keeps us laughing and fills our lives with excitement.

At seven, Lucy still loves playing with babies, changing their diapers, feeding them, and being "mommy" to them.  She says when she grows up she wants to be a babysitter so she can take care of babies and doesn't have to go to college and leave us ha!  She loves to cuddle and needs "mommy cuddles" every day, is quick to say sorry when needed and terribly doesn't like to disappoint anyone.  She is shy around those she doesn't know but once you get to know her she keeps you laughing.

She makes me smile every day and look forward to the years ahead mothering this sweetheart!

We love you Lucy to the moon and back!

But first…a trip down memory lane!

One week before she was born...

Now you are SEVEN!
