Sunday night we took advantage of this beautiful weather and had a picnic with my family. We love grilling out and the kids love getting to run and play on the playground. I love my family!!!

College talk...

I have mixed emotions about the conversation I just had with the kids (and no, I have no idea what brought this on)...

Karis: "Mom, I will miss you when I go to college!"

Mom: "Well Karis I will miss you too...terribly!"

Brayden: "I don't want to go to college!"

Karis: "Me either...I want to stay here with you!"

Brayden "Yea me too!"

Karis: "Mom do I HAVE to go to college?"

Mom: "Well I don't guess so, but if you don't, you have to get a job."

Karis: "I don't want to get a job or go to college!"

Mom: "WHY????"

Karis: "Because I want to stay here with you!"

Mom: "Ok, that is fine. You both can stay here with me FOREVER!"

I wonder if EITHER of our opinions will change over time...haha!

Yard Sale Finds

I forgot to post my deals Jay and I got on Saturday at yard sales. It was a fun day and I found some great deals. I spent a total of $17 and got lots of clothes and a few other random things...

From one house I got this shirt for me, pants for Brayden and an outfit for Lucy for $3 total...

Another house I got about 10 BRAND NEW shirts for $1 including these 3 American Eagle shirts...

...this Hollister shirt, Abercrombie shirt...

...a Aeropostale shirt and Gap sweatshirt....

...these 2 Old Navy comfy pants for .50 each...

...this black dress for .75...

...and this jacket and pajama set for .75 each...

Fun day...love me some deals! I would have paid than that for ONE of these items in a real store!

Ok so I was trying to get Lucy asleep in the nursery at church today and she loved the beds there because there is a plastic panel at the end of her bed that she could see everything that was going on. She was not agreeing with the nap idea...

Game Night...

Daddy was gone to a meeting tonight, so the kids and I had game night and we played Connect Four! It was fun teaching the kids how to play and seeing the light bulbs come on and get excited when they "won!"

My brother Jonathan is engaged!!!!!

He did so good! He set this up on the altar of their church and had a spotlight on it. He read her John 13 and then washed her feet!!! Then of course asked her to marry him and she said YES!!!! (We got to watch through the windows in the back of the sanctuary.)

Oh and the Bible he read out of was one he got for her with her married name on it...JENNA NASON!!!!

UT Knoxville

Well my brother Allen has officially moved back to UT Knoxville for the semester and I could just cry when I think about how much I will miss him. He is so special to me and we have such a neat relationship. I am so proud of the man that he has become and look forward to seeing what his future holds. I love you Allen and we will miss you!

When we got to mom's house tonight and Brayden asked where Allen was, we told him he had moved to UT Knoxville. And THIS is what he did....

He was so upset and said, "OH MAN!!!!" He was almost in tears! We are already missing you Allen!
