Saying goodbye to some friends...

Sunday night we went to my parent's church to say goodbye to some friends who are moving.  Ryan and Debby have been close friends with my parents for years and we have gotten to know them through them and our interaction over the years with Faith.  Our kids LOVE one another and we have always said that Brayden and Kinsley would marry one day.  And we would be ok with that...don't know if Ryan and Debby would ha!  You would have to ask them on that!

The kids were so excited to see each other and didn't want to say goodbye.  :(

Lucy and Addy

The gang eating ice cream...

How sweet....

This one makes my heart smile!

Future Mr. and Mrs.?!?! We'll see!  Looks pretty promising...but not until they are 30!

Ohio doesn't know how great of a family they are getting!   Or maybe they do.  :)  But we will surely miss them.

Meeting baby C

I've mentioned on the 'ole blog before that my brother Matt shares a birthday with my oldest daughter Karis.  Matt was always so sweet about sharing his day with his niece and I got to return the favor.  :)

Friday night, my 33rd birthday, while I was packing up to come home from Florida and watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics, my brother and his wife Tiffany were bringing home their very first foster baby, what I will call "Baby C."  His Facebook status read....

So now my 33rd birthday will be his "Gotcha" day for his first foster baby!  I will be glad to share my day!

I will let her tell the story from her blog because she tells it much better than I would, however when we got home from vacation, going to meet "Baby C" was at the top of my list.

So Sunday after church, I couldn't wait to come and meet my new foster niece!!!!

She is a week old today and a teensy weensy 6 lbs.  And SOOOO sweet!
***And because she is a foster baby and is in state custody, I have to post "appropriate" pictures meaning no face pictures.  Some have been blurred to protect Baby C.

We were fighting over who got to hold her!

Look at all that hair!!!!

Brayden was laughing here because while he was holding her, she was LOUDLY tooting on him!

One proud Lolli :)

Can't wait to love on Baby C again!

IPhone Pics from Florida

This is the last Florida post I promise.  But I had so many iPhone pics from our trip instead of dividing them out according to posts, I decided to do a whole post with just pictures from my phone.

Early morning wake up call but all worth it to go on vacation!!!!

First time our toes touched the sand on this vacation....excited kids!!!

Ok so I have been allergic to shrimp my whole life.  I have never eaten seafood other than fish and I have come to the age where I decided it was time to try it.  So since Jay and Brandon cooked fresh shrimp several nights, on TWO occasions I took one bite just to see if I would have a reaction to it.  And I did NOT!  Yah!  I was so excited.  So now I will eat a little more each time in hopes that I am no longer allergic and can attempt to "try" shrimp, crab, lobster and all the other goodies I have never had.  My sushi menu just got a whole lot BIGGER!!!!

After we took family pics on the beach, we took the kids to get ice cream at Marble Slab for a reward.  It was YUMMY!

One afternoon when it was raining we got out to shop and play for a while. Of course we made a stop by Bass Pro Shop one of Brayden's favorite places.

Ok so I am not normally a fan of places like Golden Corral but my mom had taken the kids there when they were here before and the kids loved it because they had a chocolate fountain and "chicken on a bone" as Brayden calls it (fried chicken).  So we promised them one night we would take them.  The food was just ok but it was worth the kids getting so excited.

Sunrise footprints in the sand...

We had quiet time/coffee together as a family most mornings....4 out of 5 of us drink it EVERY morning!

Brayden and his shark boogie board got well acquainted over the week...

Lucy and the waves had a love hate relationship!  She liked them but didn't like that they knocked her down a time or two (or ten).  So one day she was eating cheese and crackers and was holding it up so it wouldn't get wet.  It made me laugh!

HarryT frisbee's...favorites by all!

On the harborwalk, the kids love to feed the fish!

Riding the bus to the ferry that took us to shell island...

Obviously Shell Island...Karis LOVED finding shells!

Crab at Shell Island....

Brayden found and caught this crab all by himself at Shell Island using only this net.  Go Brayden!

Beach babe!

Can't wait until next year!!!!
