New Year's Eve

I know I am getting old because there is nowhere else I would rather be on New Year's Eve than home with my family!

S'mores and family...nothing better.

Visit with friends

Between visiting families, we stopped in to our old town to visit with some friends along the way.  We have so many people we wanted to see and wish we could have seen them all, but there just wasn't time.

Along the way, we met Everett and his little brother Ellis (and of course their parents too) so I could love on them!

Everett has grown up so much!  He is such a big boy even since May!

Then we met up with our friends Mari-Morgan, Nathan, Brian and Paige to eat dinner and have a little slumber party!  They were so glad to see each other!

We were grateful to be able to go to our home fellowship on Sunday.  It was great to see some familiar faces!

Sunday after church we went out to eat with some buddies before we headed to mom's house.  It was great to get to hang out with them!

Brayden with his best buds!

Before this pic, Lucy was saying, "Jake don't kiss me on the cheeks it will look like we are married!"  PRICELESS!

The last few days with Nonnie and Pop-Pop

After Christmas Day, we went back to Nonnie's for the last few days with them.  There was lots of fun left to be had and memories to make!

We watched lots of movies together as a family!

It's one of our Christmas traditions to make Christmas candy!  It is a fun thing we like to do together and by the time it's all made, we are already at a sugar high from all the tastings ha!

Nonnie and Grandmother...

This girl keeps us on our toes!

We ventured downtown to the bench dedicated in Grandaddy's honor...

Aunt Jess and Jason took the kids to get ice cream one afternoon...

We even had a movie night at a friend's pool house one night...it felt like we were on vacation!

Christmas Eve we had "Thanksgiving" dinner since we missed it....it was SOOOOO good!

We love our Nonnie!

And our Pop-Pop!

We love being in a small Southern town...always a treat!

Sweet moments with Jay's grandmother that I won't soon forget...

Jay's Granddad gave Brayden his old harmonica and Brayden played it for hours...

Loved getting to visit with cousins that we don't get to see that often.  Love you girls!

Saying goodbye is never easy, but this time was especially hard.  So thankful for in-laws and family that we love!
