I know this minor compared to some areas, but our area is having some serious flooding. Businesses near the river are closing and even the Casinos in our area are closed for a couple of weeks! The rivers aren't even supposed to crest for 2 more weeks so it is expected to get worse. Also there is an 50-80% chance of rain the next 2 days! I wanted to document these pictures so we would remember how high the waters rose.
This is a major ditch near our house and it is usually 20 feet deep, most of the time water only covers the bottom.
This little creek has never been this full. It is VERY deep and is usually WAY below the bridge but it has gotten really high.
These power lines are getting really close to the water!
Even our lake is higher that it has been in the 5 1/2 years we have lived here.
This is a pic I took just a couple of weeks ago and you can see the bottom deck level of 3. On the second level you will see the fish feeder on the left.
And not only has the water risen above that bottom level, but halfway up the fish feeder too!
The water usually doesn't come up far past the edge of this level but it is back farther than I could take the picture.
