Lucy's 2nd birthday party!

The party was a blast and just a warning there are a TON of pictures.  Don't say you weren't warned!  We started off the party with lunch...Jay grilled some hot dogs and hamburgers along with some chips and dip (buffalo dip and texas caviar)...both super yummy.

Then we went ahead and let Lucy open her gifts and she enjoyed that of course.  After each gift she would gladly say "thank you" with a smile. :)

Then we let Lucy eat her cupcakes which she has talked about all week.  When I asked her about her birthday, she always would say, "birthday party....eat cupcakes???"  She really just likes the icing.

She was pushing away her brother and sister ha.

For favor bags I had empty bags and bowls of candy for the kids to DIY.

Despite the fact that it has been 90 degrees here this last week and the fact that it is always warm mid May, it was somewhat COLD today....upper 60's.  BUT before we knew it was actually going to drop 30 degrees, we planned to have a blow-up water slide for the kids. We decided we would turn it on anyway and let those that wanted to go ahead and do it.  We had several brave ones!

Lucy opted out and decided to push her stroller instead. I didn't blame her!

Most of the older kids got brave, including Karis and Brayden.

Needless to say, the water was quite shockingly COLD!

Spectators watching from inside where it was warm!

Isaac wasn't impressed either! :( He only did it once!

Then we came back inside while some continued to brave the cold.  Lucy was eager to play with her toys!

And eat her cupcake that she never had the chance to eat!  She is eating it in style!

Uncle Matt and Aunt Tiffany got her a play vacuum for her birthday and she immediately took the hose off and started cleaning baseboards!  I started laughing and my mom thought it was quite sad that she was TWO and knew how to clean baseboards ha!  Maybe she will be a clean freak like her momma!

Lucy was pouring coffee for everybody using her new tea set Aunt Paige gave her!

Nonnie taught her the proper way to drink coffee haha!

Coffee and dessert anyone???

It was such a fun day!  I am blessed to have Lucy as a daughter and hope we are able to celebrate many more birthdays to come!
