Introducing our small group...

Our church doesn't have corporate worship on Sunday nights, instead we have small groups throughout the week.  Our small group meets at our home on Wednesday nights and it is one of my favorite times of the week!  We have some new faces in our group this year and we are thrilled to have them join us!

But first, happy birthday to the sweetest 4 month old I know!  Oakley is such a happy baby and his personality is really starting to come out!

Oak's new trick...sticking out his tongue!

Our group has LOTS of kids!  NINE to be exact and eight of them are Kindergarten and under.  It is wild and crazy and lots of fun!

Adam and Amy (have 3 kids Story, Meila and Oakley)...

Mrs. Debbie...

Dustin and Heather (3 yr. old son Luke)...

Jared and Hannah (with Meredith here and Sydney not pictured)...

We have really enjoyed our group this Fall and look forward to many more great times as we fellowship and study the WORD!

Tonight we studied Revelation 2 and it was so convicting!

"2 I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have testedthose who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.
Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first."

My commentary said something that was so good..."But the Ephesians passion and fervor for Christ had become cold, mechanical orthodoxy.  Their doctrinal and moral purity, their undiminished zeal for the truth, and their disciplined service were no substitute for the love for Christ they had forsaken."  Wow...Christ warns us that we can go through the motions all day long, be pure and disciplined, and have a desire and zeal for truth, but we are not in love with Jesus, all else is in vain.  Oh how I desire to be so in love with him that all else just falls into place.
