Caramel Pie

Tonight at small group I made one of our favorites Caramel Pie!  It is so good and so easy.  I have wanted to pin it on my Pinterest but didn't have a picture.  I made two pies... one with Cool Whip and one without (Karis and I don't like cool whip) and almost every morsel was eaten.

Caramel Pie
2 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
graham cracker pie crust
Cool Whip (optional)
Mini chocolate chips (optional)

Take paper off of 2 cans and drop them both in a large pot of boiling water.  Turn down to medium low  and set the timer for 2 1/2 hours.  Make sure cans are covered with water...you might have to add a time or two.  Half way through, turn the cans upside down with tongs so that the bottom side of the can doesn't burn.  After the 2 1/2 hours, remove cans and let sit for 10 minutes (not longer it will start to set).  Pour into pie crust and put in refrigerator for at least 4 hours.  Once pie is set, add cool whip and chocolate chips and serve.  DELICIOUS!
