Family time has become so much more important now that school is back in session and we realize the importance of "quality" time when we don't get to see them all day. Also because of Brayden's late anxiety issues, it is good for us to get our minds off of school!
So tonight we took them a nearby dam to go on a nature walk. Our kids LOVE this kind of thing and there were cheers all around and "YESSSS!!!" when we told them where we were headed. Hey and it's free fun and that is even better!
Choosing our trail...
On our trail, we came across this tree root....
Here is the side view....
Proof I was there ha! I am always the one behind the camera.
This is just a little creek that feeds into the stream. Lucy said, "Aw mom it's a little one...so cute!" :)
The low side of the dam...
Brayden and Karis walked down to the water because they saw several fish. Karis took my phone to take a pic of an alligator gar they saw.
Check out those teeth!
Me and Lulu hung out at the top....
Then we went to the playground....
Then we went to one of our favorite places on the lake to enjoy the sunset and to have some family time. We got there a little late for the sunset but it was still pretty.
It was neat to do our family Bible study here on the lake...
It was a great night. We wished we could have gotten a little more time so next time we will go earlier!
