School shopping and Redbirds game

Nope, Brayden didn't wake up last night so he went to bed to take a nap at 2:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon and woke up at 7:00 a.m. this morning!  He slept 17 hours!!!!  He was well rested for sure.

This morning Jay kept Lucy and I took K and B to Walmart to get groceries and to get Karis' school supplies.  She has been wanting to do this for a while and she was so excited when I told her we were going today.  She is an art/school supply junkie (like her momma was...well not the art part).  She was like a kid in a candy store picking out all of her stuff.  :)

My sweet Kindergartener (in a week and a half)

She wanted to organize and label all of her stuff and I gladly obliged.  :)  She is my mini-me!

Does anybody spend hours in the kitchen after you get back from the grocery?  It takes me usually 2 hours to go to the store and get back and then unloading them and washing/prepping food seems to take another 2 hours!  That is what I did this afternoon.  I washed all the fruit and got it ready to eat, cut up onions, chicken, mushrooms and bell peppers for kabobs for dinner tonight, and made up some sausage balls for us to eat tomorrow morning...yum!

We got some tickets to go the Redbirds game tonight.  The kids were excited about going but Brayden requested that we be in one of those rooms where the door locks haha (he meant box seats).  We finally hauled our crew up to our seats and then sat there for about 30 minutes (game still hadn't started) when we found out the game was going to be postponed due to power outages all over downtown.  So we headed back to the car and no game.  :(  Our tickets are good for any other game so we will go back soon (and be sure to get a sitter for Lucy next go round!).

Brayden liked seeing him from far away but was still hiding from him behind a wall.  Lucy kept screaming at him saying, "BBBBB!!!"  This meant "bird."

Waiting on the game and looking at Rocky from afar.

We are looking forward to a quiet, calm day at home tomorrow for the most part.  Hope you all have a great weekend!
