July 4th weekend (part one)

For July 4th, we went to Corinth because Jay's sisters were in town visiting. Kelly has lived in Hawaii since Jay and I married but recently moved to North Carolina and has two girls Katie (8) and Kaycee (5), whom our kids have never met until this weekend.  Nicole also lives in North Carolina and has one son Scout and they have one on the way due in September.  Her husband Craig and son Scout couldn't come.  We missed the boys but we enjoyed having Nicole there!

We arrived on Saturday and went to eat lunch at Bourrom's with the whole gang.  On the left side around to right, Nicole (and Jett inside the womb), Jay, Cindy, Jessica, Katie, Brayden, Karis, Kaycee, Lucy, Me, Kelly and Kevin.

Outside, someone has driven this cart and let the kids play on it while we waited on our lunch.

The cousin milkshake...

L to R: Kaycee (5), Karis (5), Aunt Jessie (20), Katie (8), Brayden (4)

We walked over to the courthouse and the kids played on the steps and columns...

Then we went swimming....

And Pop Pop wore them out pretty good (and himself too) playing with them...

Kaycee in her own little world...

And some crashed when we got back....

Haha and so did Pop Pop!

And no 4th of July is complete without LOTS of watermelon!

Saturday night we celebrated Kevin's 58th birthday (bday is July 8) but someone switched the numbers! Haha he looks healthy for 85!

Lulu and Aunt Aunt Juju (Aunt Judy)

Pop Pop with all his kids Jay, Nicole and Kelly (minus Aunt Jessie she had already left) and his grandkids Lucy, Brayden, Kaycee, Karis and Katie (minus Scout who couldn't come)

The kids played soccer/kickball, hunted bugs, picked veggies from the garden, caught lightning bugs, and played with bubbles.

Then it was bathtime for the whole gang and they all crawled up in Nonnie's bed to watch cartoons.  I love that all the cousins got along so well...they just all loved each other and cuddled like they had known each other forever.  I hope this is the beginning of lots of good memories!  This was a perfect ending to a great day!
