Happy 8 month Bday Lucy!!!!

Wow in the last 2 months you have grown up before our eyes dear Lucy! In the recent weeks you have gone from barely sitting up to crawling EVERYWHERE and even pulling up on lots of things...including the toilet! Gross! You have been so much fun and everyday are doing something new.

Today on your 8 month bday we spent the day at the doctor because you now have your 3rd ear infection! You are following in your brother and sister's footsteps in ear infections and you too, will soon outgrow them (I hope). I am learning to pick up on your signs early on so this time you didn't get too sick before momma decided to take you on in. Signs of your ear infections: green nose (and very runny), won't suck good or nurse, and spit up more frequently (your sister did this same thing!). Even when you are sick you are still a GREAT baby. You weren't even fussy and never even woke up in the middle of the night...and you never even ran fever!

Looking at this picture, you wouldn't even think you were sick...but momma knows best! :)

She was determined to get these fruit puffs out and when she couldn't, she just tried to eat the container!

You are very flexible and sit in all different ways including this. Alot of times you sit in the complete splitz (sp?) but I can't ever get a picture of it.

And you pull up on everything. See?

Lucy at 8 months you:

• Eat food 3x a day (sometimes 5-6 jars) and nurse between 5-6 times a day
• You are starting to wean yourself I think and momma is very sad about it. I will go as long as I can!
• You got formula for the first time this month and had a MAJOR allergic reaction to it (Enfamil Lipil). Your eyes were swollen shut and I had to give you Benadryl. Then I tried some Soy and you were ok with it and no reaction. I will use it as needed just in case you decide you don't want to nurse anymore. :(
• You have only said one word so far and it was momma. We are trying for dadda but you haven't said it yet.
• You weighed 16 lbs. and 10 oz. today at doctor's visit.
• You are still in size 3 diapers although you do wear some 4's (just because I was given some so why not use them?).
• You have had 2 haircuts.
• You love bath time with brother and sister! You crawl everywhere even in the bathtub and aren't scared at all.
• You have bad dry skin/eczema all over your skin. Momma has to grease you down at night and sometimes more than once. You get it honest....sorry Lucy.
• You have 2 teeth but are working on some more.
• When I go to get you out of bed, you are usually standing up and sometimes saying "Momma."
• You love your paci but momma is trying to make it only for naps/car rides.
• You smile at anybody and will go to anyone also. You are a very friendly baby!
• You can pick up fruit puffs on your own and put them in your mouth.
