Visiting Nana 2 and Pap in Orlando

Vacation has begun and our treck to Orlando started at 4:30 a.m. to visit family.   It has been 4 years since our whole family has gotten to go and Lucy has never been.  We were so excited to get there!  The kids did AMAZING on the way...seriously not as much as a complaint came from any of them for the full 15 hour drive!  We couldn't have been more proud of them!

Lucy is ready for the sunshine state!!!

We finally arrived at around 8 p.m.!  We were so glad to see Nana 2!  She was as beautiful, radiant and prissy as always!  LOVE her!

We were thrilled to see Pap too (Jay's dad)!  We definitely don't get to see them enough!  He really invested in spending time with the kids and making memories and it made our hearts smile.  It is these moments they will cherish forever.

Lucy got to sleep in the room with Karis and Brayden really for the first time and although there was some laughing and giggling going on at bedtime, they all slept hard after long play days!

Nana 2's house and property is BEAUTIFUL!  Seriously it is one of my favorite places in the world to be.  It is not only beautiful, but relaxing, serene and it has a  special place in my heart because of all the memories that have been made over the years.  Jay and I have made several trips there since we were dating in 2002, 9 years ago.  Alot has changed since then haha!

There are lizards EVERYWHERE and Brayden had a fabulous time chasing and catching them!

All of these scenery pics are taken in her backyard...could it be any more amazing?!

This swing is one Valerie, Jay's sister used to swing on.  It still has it's happy effect on little girls!  :)

There was LOTS of baseball and LOTS of fishing!

Brayden's tiniest lizard catch...couldn't have been much bigger than his fingernail!!!

Coloring on the dock...

I had to take a pic of me and my man while sitting on this dock.  NINE years ago when we visited Nana 2 for the first time together, we had been dating 6 weeks and sitting in this exact place, we discussed when we would get married.  We already knew and had told each other we loved each other.  It brings back many wonderful memories of our beginning.  :)

Now, nine years later, not only did we marry, but we had a few little blessings added to our family!  :)  God has been very good to us!

I enjoyed sweet quiet moments with the Lord each morning on my favorite porch in the world!

I dressed the kids in matching outfits one morning and took a few shots of them in the backyard.  A whole post coming soon with all of them.

Nana 2's husband passed away in January of this year and she took us to see his headstone.

Last fish at Nana 2's house

We discovered a bee hive...

Lucy got just a little dirty haha...

It was a great visit with Nana 2, Pap and the rest of the gang.  It is always bitter sweet to say our goodbyes and there are always a few tears shed when we pull out of the driveway.  We were sad to go but thankful for our time with them!  Until next time....
