Brayden's 5th birthday party

For Brayden's party this year, we decided to forego the "pool"party for the whole gang like we have had for the past 3 years...it always gets way too hot for the adults that don't swim.  So we allowed him to ask a few friends to come have a sleepover and he was thrilled with that idea!

He invited brothers Ethan and Eli and his baseball buddy Caden, who couldn't come at the last minute.

The girls had gone home with Lolli and Pop last night after VBS so it was just the 3 boys.  Jay and I took them swimming for a while until they were totally worn out!

Eli and his baby frog he found....look closely on the blue noodle.  Boys will be boys right?!

Ethan acting silly :)

Lolli got Brayden some new flippers and he LOVES them.  They were the hit by everybody.  He spent most of the time swimming really fast!

The boys loved the random frogs...me not so much.  Yuck.

Sunbathing?!

After swimming, we came back to the house and got them dressed and let him open his present from them and then Jay grilled out hamburgers and hot dogs.

Brayden loves the bike buzzer Eli has on his bike so they got him one just like it along with a helmet.

Brayden picked out his own cupcakes and was SUPER excited about the deer!!!

My birthday boy

Make a wish!

It looks like there were just four candles, but there were five!

We didn't even make it to the game without Eli falling asleep....I guess swimming wore him out!

Then we took them to the Redbirds game.  It is one of Brayden's favorite things to do (as long as Rocky the Redbird stays far away!!!).

THAT'S MY BOY!!!

This was cool to witness....

Me and my handsome man :)

They played on the hill and the playground

Uncle Jon-Jon and Aunt Jenna were at the game with some friends so they came over to see us.

After the game they had fireworks!

Jay got smart and we watched from our parking spot in the parking garage (he strategically parked where we could see them).  We had a great view of them and beat the crowds out of there.

Sadly once we got home, Eli had fever and we had to take him home.  :(  But Ethan got to spend the night with us and go to church with us the next morning.  It was really fun and Brayden had a great time!

Happy 5th Birthday Brayden!  We love you!
