At the bend, our pastor Brian has been preaching about David and this morning he preached on 2 Samuel 11-12. It is the passage about David and Bathsheba and David's terrible choice to sin. This one sin caused him to sin 12 more times and his sin ended up costing him big time. That's usually how sin works...it is a snowball effect and once you sin, it leads to a line of more to cover it up if not handled properly. God really spoke through the message and I was deeply convicted.
Liz is our children's minister and as of today, she will no longer be at our church. :( After church we had a lunch in her honor. The lunch was incredible of course (some of the best food I have had in a long time!), but more importantly, we honored Liz and her service to our church. She not only did an amazing job with our children's ministry, the kids adored her and she is also a dear friend. We will miss her so much!
