3rd and 4th Grade Missions Camp

Well round 2 of camp is complete and my kids aren't tired of it yet.  They want to be there every second to join in on the fun!

Worship

Lots of water games because a heat wave came in and boy it's HOT!

Counselors vs. Campers....go counselors!!!!

Go campers!!!!

Ready...set....go!

Our fearless leader haha...she's so crazy!

Camper pep talk....

Going muddin'???

Slingin' a little mud....

For the mission project, the kids made a "thank you" banner and cards for our worker at the camp, Mr. Joe. He is one AMAZING man!  He does so much around the camp, most of it without being asked to.  He is such a hard-worker and has a heart as big as Texas.  He deserved every bit of praise!

Every year, the counselors do the skit called "the couch."  It is for new counselors and they have to be "initiated" into Missions Camp.  The "couch" has to weather all kinds of food/drink to see if it is strong enough to be purchased.  The couch "counselors" aren't allowed to talk while the other counselors pour all kinds of food and drink over the couch....eggs, whip cream, orange juice, coke, milk, ketchup, mustard, chocolate syrup, pancake syrup and more.  The campers LOVE this skit and it is pretty stinkin' (literally) hilarious.  Wow it stunk for real.

This is before...poor counselors don't know what is coming.

Brayden was clapping and screaming the whole time...he LOVED it!

One night we had someone come and give a henna talk and explained how missionaries use henna to tell the gospel of Jesus.  Jay and I both have gotten real henna when we were in Africa 4 years ago and the girl who did the henna on us was on the video they showed to the kids.  It was so neat!  After she explained henna to the kids, she put henna on the kids who wanted it (using paint pen instead of real henna).

Karis getting henna about the story of Abraham...

Brayden getting henna telling the story of Noah...

These are some pics I took with my phone throughout the camp...

One afternoon during free time Brayden went fishing and got his hook caught on a log.  This sweet counselor Taylor got in the lake to retrieve it!  What a sweetie.  That takes sacrifice...yuck!

Just a little sibling chicken fight...

Here are some videos I took during the camp...

What a fun camp!!!!  We will miss the last camp due to kids going to Lolli's and me packing for our trip.  We are already looking forward to next year!
