Stocking the pond

Jay stocked our 15 acre lake today with catfish, brim and some others as he does every year and the kids enjoyed seeing all the fish.  Before he could free them, he had to sit the bags in the water so that the temperature in the bags would be the same as the lake so as not to shock the fish.  The kids were dying to get them out!

Brayden was dying to touch one but when it came down to it, he kept dropping it.  Then we would throw it in the lake and then he would cry for it.  He wanted to go get his fishing pole and catch it.  We had to explain to him that it had to be in the pond to grow for us to catch and eat later.

Letting the fish go

I don't think he quite has the right idea...he kept telling the fish he was going to shoot them.  I think he has fishing/hunting a little confused.
