Not quite yet

I love the feeling when you see a "light bulb" moment in your children.  It is such a rewarding moment when it happens and you know that all you have been teaching them has finally sunk in.  Today, however, was NOT one of those moments.  Brayden does not quite yet have it.

We were at lunch today at Huey's when our food came and we asked if the kids wanted to say/sing the blessing.  Karis knows the blessing song well and has been trying to teach it to brother.  It goes like this:

"God our Father,

God our Father, 

Once again...Once again,

We bow our heads to thank you,

We bow our heads to thank you,

A-men, A-men."

But today Brayden wanted to sing it by himself.  So we grabbed hands and bowed our heads and Brayden rang out loudly:

"HAPPY BIR-DAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIR-DAY TO YOU!"

I guess he hasn't gotten it...not quite yet.

We will keep working on that one!
