We spent Thanksgiving in Corinth seeing Jay's family. We had a great time as always and this year especially. Karis and her cousin Evie had the time of their life this year because they are both old enough to remember each other and look forward to their time together. Evie is almost a year older than Karis and lives in New Jersey so they only get to see each other once a year. We spent most of Thanksgiving day eating LOTS of delicious food and spending time with the family. The weather was gorgeous so we decided to get the kids out of the house and made it a family project....looking for pecans in Grandmother's backyard. The kids were working HARD and didn't even realize it. Jay even made a contraption to throw up into the trees to shake them and get them on the ground. It was raining pecans!!!
Karis and Evie with their pecan buckets
Taking time to ride in the wheel barrow (Didi, Jay's cousin and Evie's mom, pushing them)
Nonnie taking her turn
In Corinth there are LOTS of trains. Every time Brayden heard one, he came running to me from across the yard and did this....
Pop-Pop (who had surgery the day before) taking just a second to see what was going on outside. He couldn't stand missing out on all the fun.
The kids playing in the ditch. Karis loved the fact that her daddy used to play in this same ditch when he was a little boy.
Brayden attempting to shell pecans
Brayden helping Uncle Hudson "Uncle Haha" find pecans
Aunt Jessie and Grandmother chillin' inside
Me and my boy (Karis was practicing her picture taking skills)
Grandaddy "Pinto" in his recliner watching football (Brayden took this one)
It was a great Thanksgiving Day! We had so much to be thankful for!
