Karis and Brayden's baptism

On March 18, 2013 Jay and I had the privilege of leading Karis and Brayden to the Lord and today Jay had the privilege of baptizing them.  We believe baptism is an outward expression of a heart decision to follow Christ for the rest of your life.  It was exciting for me that Jay got to be a part of it and it is a day none of us will ever forget!  We are so grateful that our family got to be a part of it and that the Lord saved them at a young age!

Jay baptized Karis first and I am surprised I got decent photos/videos because my eyes were "watering" the whole time!  Such precious moments!

Then it was Brayden's turn...so proud!

Then our pastor baptized one of Brayden's best friends Ethan who became a believer just a few weeks ago.

Karis and Ethan have been in the same class this year and their teacher came!  We were so excited that she took time out of her day to support these kids.  It meant the world to them {and us}!  How many teachers do that...seriously?!  We are blessed!

We are so grateful to Mrs. Page for the time she has invested in Karis this year.  We have been challenged and loved.  She always calls when there is a concern or an area Karis needs help in, sends extra help if she needs it, even offered one time to bring a book to our house when Karis was panicking that she left it at school.  After church, we invited her to our home to have lunch and she came and her and her family hung out with us for several hours with the whole gang (both sides of our families were here).

After the service, everyone (11 adults, 9 kids) came back to our house to eat BBQ and celebrate Mother's Day (we didn't celebrate last weekend because we couldn't all get together).  Lucy was hanging out with her fav person in all the world!

We are so blessed with incredible family!  Thankful for all of them and the investment they made in us and that they make in our children!  It was truly a beautiful day!
