K and B's new room

My lack of posts lately? We have been up to our necks in re-dos and catching up on everything else while doing so. As if this time of year is not busy enough we decided to move Karis and Brayden's room upstairs. Before now, Karis and Lucy shared a room which was fine except their nap time was off so Karis had been sleeping upstairs in the playroom and had decided she wanted to move upstairs. Upstairs we had the kids playroom and Jay's office so we moved Jay's office to Brayden's room and then Jay made them bunk beds in the old playroom to share a room and Jay's old office is now their big playroom. I was especially excited about this because before now all of their toys were in about 4 different places and this meant all of them could go upstairs and would be all in one place and not all over the house. So for two weeks we have been painting walls, furniture, Jay designed and built bunk beds, and moving everything upstairs. I literally have been working until midnight many nights and back up at 5 to catch up. I must say my husband is one very talented, creative guy! So proud of him...he is pretty handy to have around. I think I'll keep him! :)

Then we had to paint the room a neutral color since both Karis and Brayden would be sharing it. I had lots of help, see?

Then I had to paint and polyurethane furniture and move all toys upstairs. For a while it looked like a tornado had come through...

We are so glad to have them finished! Didn't my hubby do such a good job? OH and the kids LOVED their new room. They were at Lolli's for the last couple of days when we were finishing everything and they came home to their newly finished room. Karis just kept hugging us and they were both squealing in excitement. So far we LOVE the new arrangement!
