"Truck" or Treat!
Today was such a fun day! We had 2 birthday parties today and got dressed up for Halloween and went "truck" or treating as Brayden would say! This is the first time we have ever taken the kids and they loved it! Brayden wasn't so sure what to think of it at first later said, "This is SOOOO fun!" Neither of them liked the "scary" stuff though and I don't blame them. Why does Halloween have to be so scary? We enjoyed dressing up, the candy and just some fun fellowship with our family and friends. Other than that, count us out on all the rest of the junk!
Not sure why this appears blurry, it wasn't on my camera. OH well...check out the cutest little ladybug in town!
And my cutey-patootey Memphis Tigers cheerleader! She was in hog heaven and kept saying, "I look like a REAL teenager cheerleader!" (Oh..and she is wearing my bodysuit and bloomers from when I cheered in high school...she thought that was cool...and I did too!"
And Brayden wasn't so into the dressing up...so he has his Memphis Tigers windsuit on and he is her basketball sidekick...or her his. Anyway he was quite handsome as well! And not sure what this face is that Karis is making...but hilarious!
What a cutey!
We went to Drew and Kendall's birthday party today which was a dress up party since it was on Halloween and it was a blast. It was decorated so cute and the kids looked forward to it all week. Kendall the birthday girl was dressed up as Minnie Mouse!
Brayden found another little boy's football helmet and wanted to wear it all afternoon! I guess he could pass as a Memphis Tigers football player here...
My football player and cheerleader....
There were lots of fun games to play and of course lots of candy!
Fishing game...
The girls chillin out on the slide....
I could kiss those cheeks off!
Baby Jack...although he isn't such a baby anymore!
All the kids stomping balloons...out of all the fun games they had more fun doing this than anything!
Then we headed over to Nathan and Mari-Morgan's house to go "truck" or treating...my kids didn't know what to expect...but of course loved it!
After "truck or treating, we came back to their house to help pass out the candy and Riverbend fliers...they had just as much fun doing this! Karis was in charge of giving out 2 pieces of candy and Mari-Morgan the fliers. When several scary people came up, Karis and Mari-Morgan froze and just stared and forgot to give them the candy....but made sure they got the flier inviting them to church. I guess they did what was most important! They could teach us adults a few lessons!
Of course "Aunt" Paige got lots of snuggles with Ladybug Lucy!
Me and my ladybug
Our attempt at getting the whole family
When we ran out of candy we came inside to let the kids play with their buddies while we adults chatted over coffee and the Mississippi State game...such fun times (the friends and fellowship..not the game..haha)!
And just for kicks...another pic of one adorable ladybug!
Happy "truck" or treat day!

Lucy's first Halloween (and preview)..
Just two months ago...
Wow these babies are growing up so fast! Take a look at the bottom pic which was taken just 2 months ago...they look so different! Trying to take 3 babies' pictures at the same time is just about impossible...you will see the proof below...haha!

College Talk
Tonight I was tucking Brayden in to bed and he asked me if I would cuddle with him for a little while. So of course I said yes and he was being so sweet (he can be I promise!). All of a sudden he said, "Mom I'm sad!" "Why Brayden?" With teary eyes and a shaky voice he said, "Because I am going to miss you at college!" It broke my heart!
Yes his views will change and he will be dying to GO to college and of course I will miss him. But knowing Brayden and the momma's boy that he is, he truly will miss me and will enjoy coming home...and I will like it!

Fall pics attempt #2
We arrived at Jay's softball game early so we attempted another Fall pic even though we weren't "dressed" for the occasion. It looks like I need to hang it up trying to get a pic that is good of all of them this year. Lucy just doesn't want to cooperate...maybe next year! Oh and I did not tell Brayden to pose like this...he just did it...ha!
After our photoshoot we headed over to the playground for a few minutes..
I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come...
But maybe this is...maybe he will always protect his little sister like this!
