We have never taken the kids to the Pink Palace and had a free trial membership for the summer so mom and I took them today. We didn't get to do the IMAX or the Planetarium but we did enjoy the museum. The kids especially loved all the animals (dinosaurs in particular)....

It was still early in the day so we headed on over to the zoo. It was a PERFECT day for the zoo...no one was there because of the weather, yet it never even rained and it was cloudy with a breeze. It wasn't even hot...it was great!!!

Lolli treated us to some snow cones and we thoroughly enjoyed them...
But our favorite part was the new bird exhibit. It replaced the butterfly exhibit from last year and it was wonderful! You got to feed the birds on these sticks and the kids loved getting to participate.
A trip to the zoo is never complete unless you have a swim in your clothes in the fountains....
