Traditional city tree planting

Today we went with our friend and language teacher, Gul, to a city wide traditional tree planting.   We didn't really know what to expect but it was fun, other than all of us getting sick from the food ugh!

We stopped at this playground on the way…the kids were super excited.

We rode a bus to the top of a mountain and it was colder up there than it was down where we live.  Lucy was cold here...

The city had dug a bug of holes and put trees all over the grounds and we could come plant as many as we wanted.  It was fun knowing that our work would live on for years to come!

My friend and language teacher Gul...

Jay and I both had a posse of people that kept staring at us and following us around until we finally spoke to them.  Then they want to talk to us and take their pic with us ha!

This is the group of guys that was interested in talking to Jay…there was a herd of them!  And just for the record, they thought I was his sister, not his wife ha!

I'm on top of the world!!!!

Thankful for our sweet friend Gul, for her friendship and her pushing us in language!
