A much needed visit from home...

This past weekend we had a visit from home which was SOOO wonderful!  When being away from home, you don't realize how much you miss it until you get a taste from home.  We are thankful our friend Zach came to visit!  He was on a trip with a university in our country and flew into our city for just 2 days to see us in the middle of his trip.  We were thrilled and it was fun to show him around our city.  We look forward to more visitors...who wants to be next?!

Beautiful swan area downtown...

The tulips in our city are A-MAZ-ING!  They are all starting to bloom and I can't wait to see them in a few weeks!

They are almost as pretty as this sweet girl wearing it!

We found a bead shop that was COVERED in beads...so much that it was a little overwhelming!

Panoramic view...literally wall to wall beads!

We can't pass up an opportunity for chai!

The only place in town we can get American coffee is the Starbucks across town but the good thing is every time we buy a bag of coffee, we get one free coffee (any kind or size)!  So we always enjoy a drink when we buy coffee!

The kids love Zach!  They fought over who gets to sit by him every time we ate!

We can't get sweet potatoes here so we asked Zach to bring a couple.  We missed them!  Our language teacher has never tried one and so we cooked them for her and let her try different variations.  She LOVED it and even took a portion and planted it in her back yard!  Hopefully there will be more in our future soon!

We took Zach to some of our favorite places including our favorite restaurant.  This is our friend that we have come to know from frequenting it.

Our bread looked like a puffer fish!

Playing around with Zach with our hot fudge cake...who knew it could bring so much laughter?!

Hopefully he will get to come back this summer...looking forward to it!

We took these right before he left and Lucy was sad he was leaving!

Chai fun!

Thankful for such a good friend that took time out to come and encourage us!  We will forever be grateful!

Our language teacher trying sweet potatoes for the first time...she LOVED it!  Thanks Zach for bringing them for us!

Thanks Zach...looking forward to next time!
