School shopping and Redbirds game

Nope, Brayden didn't wake up last night so he went to bed to take a nap at 2:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon and woke up at 7:00 a.m. this morning!  He slept 17 hours!!!!  He was well rested for sure.

This morning Jay kept Lucy and I took K and B to Walmart to get groceries and to get Karis' school supplies.  She has been wanting to do this for a while and she was so excited when I told her we were going today.  She is an art/school supply junkie (like her momma was...well not the art part).  She was like a kid in a candy store picking out all of her stuff.  :)

My sweet Kindergartener (in a week and a half)

She wanted to organize and label all of her stuff and I gladly obliged.  :)  She is my mini-me!

Does anybody spend hours in the kitchen after you get back from the grocery?  It takes me usually 2 hours to go to the store and get back and then unloading them and washing/prepping food seems to take another 2 hours!  That is what I did this afternoon.  I washed all the fruit and got it ready to eat, cut up onions, chicken, mushrooms and bell peppers for kabobs for dinner tonight, and made up some sausage balls for us to eat tomorrow morning...yum!

We got some tickets to go the Redbirds game tonight.  The kids were excited about going but Brayden requested that we be in one of those rooms where the door locks haha (he meant box seats).  We finally hauled our crew up to our seats and then sat there for about 30 minutes (game still hadn't started) when we found out the game was going to be postponed due to power outages all over downtown.  So we headed back to the car and no game.  :(  Our tickets are good for any other game so we will go back soon (and be sure to get a sitter for Lucy next go round!).

Brayden liked seeing him from far away but was still hiding from him behind a wall.  Lucy kept screaming at him saying, "BBBBB!!!"  This meant "bird."

Waiting on the game and looking at Rocky from afar.

We are looking forward to a quiet, calm day at home tomorrow for the most part.  Hope you all have a great weekend!

The WORST sleepwalking mishap ever....

Seriously, if you need a good laugh, keep reading.

Camp just ended today and our crew is absolutely exhausted!  Karis was even asking to take a nap and Jay and I wished we could have taken one too.  We seriously just sat in silence for a long time because we were so tired!

SO.  Brayden and Karis were both asleep upstairs and Brayden comes downstairs after about 1 1/2 hours and looked very groggy and says, "Mommmmm I'm thirrrrrrsty!"  I replied, "Ok Brayden your water bottle is in the frig you can get it."  A few seconds later it sounds like the water thingy (don't know what it is called, you know with the crushed/cubed ice dispenser on frig???) is running onto the floor.  I thought "Oh my goodness, he has decided to get his own water and is missing his cup!!!"  I hollered from the den, "Brayden what are you doing?"  And then I said it again and no response.  I walked in the kitchen and saw the unimaginable.

Yep, start freaking out like I did!

HE HAD PULLED DOWN THE FRONT OF HIS PANTS AND WAS PEEING IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!!

I started screaming, "What are you doing?????"  He looked at me in that half asleep look like I was the one that was crazy!  By then he was finished with his business and I was left to clean up the disgusting mess.  in.  my.  refrigerator.

I guess he woke up early from his nap because he had to go to the bathroom and then on his way down decided he was thirrrrrrrsty.  And once he got to his destination, those thoughts got all jumbled up.

Needless to say, my refrigerator got a cleanin' out today....big time!

I guess it could have been worse.  He could have been drinking the toilet water!

He will NEVER live this one down!!!!

Oh and after that he went and crawled in my bed and is still asleep.  I guess he will sleep through the night.  He needed some serious sleep!  Hopefully he wont go to the bathroom in my bed!!!!

Not me?!?!?!

Isn't she adorable???

Well, this incredibly adorable...

precious....

sweet...

innocent baby girl...

made THIS mess.  "Hey Mom!"

"Uh oh.  Did I do that???"

"I didnt' make this mess!  Not me!!!"

"Mom there is some more RIGHT THERE!"

"Ooh it's on my feet!  Gross!"

"Nope!  Not me...I'm not guilty!"
Sorry Lucy...the cracker on your face gives you away.

So instead of cleaning it up, I run to get the camera.  Haha!

Whose got mail??? They do! They do!

At the camp morning show, they had a girl/guy challenge...they had a plate of gum balls covered in whip cream and they had to use their mouth to get as many as possible into a bowl.  Girls won!

Brady the weather dude.  Every morning they have a weather report and it seemed to be hailing...ice was flying out into the crowd!

Another fav part of the morning show is the campers get "mail" from friends, family and camp staff to brighten their day.  The first day we went Brayden was yelling, "Hey!  Where's my mail????"  Whoops...so I had to make him some very quickly.  Now the kids get mail from camp staff and they LOVE it...especially Karis!

Today at the pool the girls were doing cheerleading stunts and Karis was all about that!  They loved playing with her too because she was so light she went FLYING!

Brayden enjoyed it too but wouldn't do it without his life jacket on haha!

Nose dive!

Then when the boys came they found a tiny lizard and Brayden named it and kept it as his pet...for a few minutes at least.

He named it Brady after his buddy Brady.

All the while this little cutie walked around discovering things and smiling and waving to everyone.  She has loved "flirting" with people and will grin to anyone but has an opinion about who she will let hold her...she wants momma most of the time.

After lunch, my whole crew came back to nap and Karis slept 3 1/2 hours!  She stayed up painting nails, making bracelets and hangin' out with the big girls so apparently she was super tired!

Brayden gives you a wink....

Lucy figured out how to push the button and was enjoying it to the fullest...

My sweet family before worship

Lucy was jammin' during worship...

Lucy gets kinda fidgety when the worship ends so she and I headed down to the dock again to watch the fish.  This pic is a reflection of the sky on the water...so neat.

The kids went on a ride around the lake with the campers and staff and Karis enjoyed another sleepover with the girls.  All the girls have signs on their bed so they made her one. :)

We will be so sad when camp is over tomorrow!

Our busy, fun day in pics...

We have had an extremely action packed day and lots of pics to show for it.  We managed to pack in a TON of stuff today at 7th-8th grade camp and the kids didn't mind one bit!!!  I don't know what we will do with ourselves when this is over!

Lucy has had alot of little helpers around and I haven't minded one bit!

Brayden built a dirt sand castle with Aaron...

Brayden and his little buddy Hannah...he kisses her on the cheek all the time.  I might be in trouble?!!?!?!  Sorry Brayden, she is a little older than you!

B and his buddy Drew

My kids LOVE Hannah!

My one and only attempt of the kids...Lucy wasn't too happy!

We played on the blow-up slide...

...and did the slip-n-slide down the hill.

When all of a sudden we hear sirens and this came through camp...

We got a nice sprayin' down to say the least!  They came to "help" with the slip-n-slide and the firemen ended up going down it too!  That is until they got a call and zoomed out of here!

We swam at the pool and I watched this little cutie...

...and she helped herself to the snacks.

Karis and her camp friend Erin

We did some water recreation...

We watered our dirt castle...

We collected rocks to through in the lake and went down to dock and "fed" the fish...

...and managed to catch some frogs along the way.

We played tether ball...

And we had an awesome time at worship!  I ended up leaving for most of it b/c Lucy wouldn't be quiet and she and I went and watched the fish off the dock.  It was getting close to her bedtime.

But the kids all helped lead worship...even Lucy!

And Brayden was the drummer!

Karis wanted to "spend the night" with Erin down at the camp with all the big girls so she is having a slumber party and Brayden has crashed in the recliner with Jay.  The house is quiet, blog done and I am going to bed...I am exhausted!!!
