Movie Night

With dad gone we were really missing him so we had to do something fun tonight to pass the time, so we had movie night.  We moved around the furniture and made a palett on the floor, popped some popcorn and watched a movie.  You would have thought it was Christmas morning...they were so excited (and me too...it was fun!).  There is nothing like seeing your kids excited over little nothings.  :)

Karis' movie of choice...Aladdin

We will be counting the hours until daddy comes home.  He is on his way home now but it is a 24 hour drive and they are stopping to sleep tonight so hopefully we will see him tomorrow!!!

12 Weeks

So I am officially 12 weeks (as of a few days ago) and am slowing coming out of the morning sickness (all day sickness).  I am gaining my energy back and am not as sick as before.  Food is actually starting to taste good to me so I know I must be feeling better.  It is no longer cravings, just hungry!!!  I am going to take some pics of my belly growing but haven't yet..soon to come.  But here are some pics I found of a week 12 baby.  AMAZING!

Tiffany and Matt's Couple Shower

Saturday night Matt and Tiffany had a couple shower in Jackson and they had a great turn out and got some great things!

They played a communication game where they had to stuff marshmallows in their mouth and try to communicate a saying and had to guess what was being said.

During the shower, the kids played with Taylor (Richard Murphy's son) and had a blast.  Karis found her a new best friend and she didn't want to leave!

Great turnout!

Love you guys and so excited for you!

Tiffany's lingerie shower

What a fun, busy weekend!  Friday night mom and I drove to Jackson, TN for my future sister-in-law's lingerie shower.  She got some great things!

Her Union friends

What a great gift for a lingerie shower!  We laughed so hard; however....she will probably wear these.  She is a very cold-natured gal!  I love 'em!
Congrats Tiff!  6 weeks and counting!

Pac Rim Summit

Thanks to Lolli for watching the kids for us, Jay and I were able to attend a Pacific Rim Summit  today and enjoyed every minute of it.  It was great getting to see old friends from our home church as well as meet all the incredible mi**ionaries.  To be honest, growing up I used to get bored at the term because to me it was so foreign (literally). However, the Lord has truly changed my heart and given me a heart and a passion for what they do.  They deserve our attention and respect!  Jay and I LOVE getting to hear all of their stories of how God has provided for them and how they have gotten where they are today.  I truly feel like God reveals himself in a bolder way in these countries and their "God stories" are unbelievable.  We both soak it in and know that if we are ever fortunate to be in their shoes, we would be honored and blessed.  Tonight we sat at a table with workers from 6 different countries and were able to talk with them about their experiences.  I wish I could share more but due to confidentiality, I am not able.

On a side note, Jay was asked last night (due to someone dropping out) to join a short-term mission trip to Mexico that will be leaving tomorrow morning!  We got home tonight and he is packing (very quickly I might add) to depart by 5:00 a.m.   Please pray for their safety because they will be driving (at least a 21 hour drive) as well as for us while he is away.

Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary Henigans!

Our neighbors, Roy and Marion Henigan celebrated their 50th anniversary this week and celebrated on Sunday afternoon.  The kids ADORE them and especially Mr. Henigan since he is around the house alot (he helps Jay out alot around the camp mowing grass and other various things).  Every time they see even his truck they go crazy!  Congrats Henigans!
(I couldn't get a picture of them together because so many people were trying to talk to them so this will do I guess.)

Happy 4th Birthday Hannah!

Karis has a great friend in her class at school who just had her 4th birthday!  She actually came to Karis' birthday at the beginning of October at ConXion Gymnastics and has since joined the class and wanted to have her birthday party there also!  So now they are in the same class at school and gymnastics.  Hannah's mom was having some tests run and was in the hospital and sadly, missed Hannah's party.  I felt terrible for her.  But Hannah seemed to have a great time anyway.

Happy Birthday Hannah!
