Biblical city village

We visited a Biblical city about an hour from our house and it was an adventure to say the least.  We drove through mountains and villages to get there and we came across TWO of these sheep herds.  It was so cool for the kids to get to see!

Look closely and you can see an old-timey well….

No strollers in the village…all children are carried like this and bundled up even in 80 degree weather.

All the village women work harder than I ever seen anybody work….all day sun up to sun down bent over like this covered in the heat.  I admire them so much!

Round 2!

We finally arrived and climbed these caves and did a lot of walking and hiking!

We hiked these starting on the left and went all the way to the end of the them on the right, then back and then walked the village for 2 hours.  We were EXHAUSTED by the end but it was worth it…so fun!

Check out how big these rocks were!!!!

Turtles were everywhere incognito!  They just blended in with all the rocks.

Little turtle….

We started on that far right side and hiked all the way to where I took this pic.

Lucy had to blow bubbles in the caves….

Sweet Brayden brought me a flower….

We found a palace in the mountains….

They locked us up in jail!!!!

Big boy came prepared with his head lamp!

A boy has to find a creek….

We felt like we were back home!

Neighborhood water….

My boy had to chase the chickens….

If you look closely, you can see 2 cows in their personal garden.

Look what a beautiful rock we found...

We walked past this wall and then saw cows looking over...

All the houses have these little plates above their windows.  We think it is a way for All@h to protect them (kinda like the evil eye).

Great day!!! We will all sleep good tonight!
