A first for us and a day I will never forget….

Today was a MAH-VELOUS day!  We have been in country for 3 months now and we have started sharing a car (one week on, one week off) with some friends and today was our first day to drive.   Actually, I didn't drive because it is a stick shift but Jay did.  It will take some time and practice for me! We were so excited to get out and explore on our own!!!

But first, a stop to eat lunch at a new restaurant!  This was our view at lunch...

The people here LOVE children.  At the end of the meal they brought the kids balloons and some local candy.

We began our exploration by going to one of my favorite stores here in town that is similar to Sams or Costco where you can buy in bulk.  I like going because it saves me many a trips to the stores.  Check out this big fish!!!

This is our rockin' mini-van which we are oh so thankful for!!!!

Beyond our house we view mountains on a daily basis but have never explored them.  We have said many a times over the last 3 months that we couldn't wait to venture out onto the mountains.  Well today was the day and when we started out Lucy randomly said, "Well this is a fun adventure!!!"  And it was!!!

At the edge of the mountains looking back at the city….

Headin' for the hills….

We drove through and around mountains for a while but had no idea what we were in for when we topped the mountain and saw THIS!!!!

WOW is all I can say!!!!!  Absolutely breathtaking!

We came across this little village tucked into the mountains….

If you look closely you can see sheep at the top of the hill...

And can you spot the two turtles?!?!  Look closely.

Then we ventured onto this little park that we have passed before but never gone inside.  It was absolutely stunning!!!!  The flowers were just beautiful.

We found a well!

We saw not only one bride but TWO!

And parked next to us on the way out was this car….guess it was one of the bride's get away car ha!

What an incredible day with my family….one I will never soon forget!  Thank you Lord for your provisions for our family and for sweet reminders that you love us!
