Vacation with Lolli 2014 part 2…waterfalls, date night, Roman ruins and more swimming!

Our vacation is coming to an end and we are sad but thankful that Lolli gets to come home with us for one more week before she returns.  We have gotten to make so many memories this week that will last a lifetime!

Lucy had it made in the shade…literally.  A coke and some oreos…what more could a girl want by the pool?!

Jay's favorite spot in the shade...

We got to out on a date one night while Lolli stayed with the kids.  It was great to get away and not to have to worry about them and just enjoy one another.  This is the 2nd date we have been on since we left the states.  We noticed a restaurant the other day that was an award winner with Trip Advisor and so we decided to go there.  The food was AMAZING!  We felt like we were back in America for a little while!

We also walked around the harbor a little bit and in some of the little shops.

We had a beautiful view right on the harbor and were able to watch the sunset!

We had some fried potatoes and a traditional salad for an appetizer and steaks for dinner that were delicious!

This lady was making rugs and it was so neat to watch her work.  I have no idea how she was doing it but her hands were working in fast motion.  We found out she was from our city.

The boys planning our excursions...

We drove out to some waterfalls one day and across the street was a gas station that had camels just hanging out eating.  Not something you see every day for sure!

These waterfalls were about 20 minutes away and were gorgeous.  In the states it would have costed at least 10-15 a person but we all got in for about $6-7…super cheap.

Family pics by the falls...

There was a part where you could put your feet in and it was FREEZING!!!

Then we drove a little farther and came across some Roman ruins that Jay found on the internet that are just in the middle of the woods that have dated back to 25 B.C. and likely an area the apostle Paul walked through on his journeys.  They were amazing and Jay was in heaven!  We love to hike and explore so it was fun although a little hot.

Old mosaics just laying around...

Driving back we happened about the back of the falls that we just drove up to. Of course I had to stop and take a picture.

Our camel friend was up and eating when we left…just hangin' around!
