Today is my brother's birthday and we wanted to wish him a blog HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  We love you Jon Jon and are so proud of you.  We hope you have a WONDERFUL day!

June Splash

Our church has a kid's night once a month on Sunday nights called Splash and it is always a blast and Karis looks forward to it every time.  BUT this time Brayden got to go for the first time and he didn't really know what to think but in the end, CRIED because he didn't want to go home!  They said he did great!  I got there towards the end and caught them eating snack...popsicles.  

God made dirt and dirt don't hurt...

Karis and her buddy Anna Madison (who Karis adores).  She is actually where we got Lucy's middle name from.  Karis loves her so much she actually wanted to name Lucy "Anna Madison" but we couldn't do that.  So we took the Madison and made it her middle name.

The kids are already looking forward to next month's Splash!

A special day for so many reasons...

Today just happens to be special for so many reasons, none related to one another.  Today our baby Lucy turns 4 weeks old, she attends church for the first time, Brayden moves up to the "big boy" class at church, and today is mine and my hubby's 6 year anniversary!

Since I got some super cute (sorry I am a little biased) pics of Lucy, I had to get some of my other two precious ones too.  They sure are super cute too I think (wink wink)!

Brayden has been in the baby class with me up until now because he wasn't potty trained yet.  But we decided to move him up today since he has been doing so well and he has been SOOO excited about being with the "big" kids.  Here he is with Mrs. Christine.  Oh and don't let looks deceive you because he was THRILLED about being in there. I think he was just overwhelmed at the moment. He came home singing OVER AND OVER AGAIN a song they sang in class.  Something is wrong with this picture...I move one child out of the baby class and another one into the baby class..all in the SAME DAY!  Yikes!

Oh and our anniversary?  I will post about that later.  It deserves a post all of its own. :)

Six years of wedded bliss...

Today my hubby and I celebrate 6 wonderful years of marriage.  As I think back on this day 6 years ago, I knew I was marrying my soulmate and now 6 years later, my love for him is much greater than I thought possible 6 years ago on our wedding day.  Jay is my best friend more than anything and life wouldn't be the same without him!

We celebrated our anniversary Saturday night while Lolli watched the kids.  It was our first official time to be away from Lucy (other than going to church one time) so it was bitter sweet but I had a blast with my sweet hubby.  We went to Firebirds (where my brother was our waiter) and then went to see a movie.  It was nice to get to have adult conversation without having to fill a cup, cut up food, change a diaper, take someone to the potty, etc.  And to add to the wonderful evening...we got finished with our dinner and found out that my cousin who was also in the restaurant, had paid for our dinner!  What a blessing!  We were so thankful!  

Jay I love you babe and look forward to many more wonderful years and growing old and gray together.  :)

Lucy's first bottle

In preparation for me and my hubby's 6th Anniversary date night tomorrow night, I decided to make sure Lucy would take a bottle so we could leave her with Lolli. She hasn't had one since the nursery since we were in the hospital.  Lolli got to feed her and she was thrilled (Jay was gone at the time).  Lucy did great!  Yah we can officially go on a date tomorrow night alone!

Full and satisfied...

Pool Day

Yah for sun!  We finally got to the go to the pool for the first time today and the weather was perfect, although the pool was freezing!  My family got to join us and we enjoyed every minute of it.  Lucy loved it so much, she did this the whole time.....zzzzzzzzz......

Karis and Brayden, on the other hand, were ecstatic about finally getting to swim...

Baby Jake is here!

UPDATED: Wednesday 8:35 a.m.  

Jake Wyatt was born Wednesday morning at 3:23 weighing in at 7 lbs. 9 oz. and measuring 21 1/2 inches long.  Mom and Jake are both doing great other than mom being exhausted from carrying Jake 41.5 weeks!   He is so precious!  This picture was taken about an hour and a half after being born.

Baby Lucy and Jake were due 3 days apart so she had to stay at the hospital with mommy to meet her boyfriend Jake!  Paige, Mary Beth and I pulled an all nighter at the hospital until we got to see Jake this a.m. about 5:00.  I came home to sleep about 2 hours and now am up for the day.  I am surviving on coffee right now but in a few hours I am going to be SORRY for acting like a teenager and staying up all night!  But it sure was fun!  Lucy did great and snoozed right through her first slumber party...

Tuesday 2:50 p.m.    My dear friend Jennifer from church who was due 3 days after me is in labor right now!  Her water broke this morning and she is just waiting on baby Jake to make his arrival!  I went up to the hospital earlier and she wasn't progressing so me and the kids came home to take naps and can't wait to go later tonight to see them and meet Jake...I will keep you updated!
