2015 a new beginning!

This is our first New Year's Eve in our own new country and we didn't have many plans other than we wanted to look back closely over the last year and monitor our progress and see what needed to change in the upcoming year.

This year we took each child out separately and conducted an "interview" or a list of questions that reflected our progress with each of them this past year.

*Someone gave us a list of questions titled...
"10 Questions each husband should ask his wife every year"
"10 Questions a wife should ask her husband every year" and
"10 Questions parents should ask their child every year"
and so we did just that.

For the children it had things like "Have I ever made a promise to you that I didn't keep?" "Do you believe I really love you because of who you are or because of your behavior?"  "Is there a secret you have been keeping from us for fear of getting in trouble?

It went really well and was eye opening.  It opened up conversation that we might not have gotten otherwise.

Remembering last New Years Eve spent with Lolli and Pop just days before our move...

2015

Here's to a year of new friendships, better language, a SIMPLIFIED life, letting things go and not stressing, and lots of new memories!
