Thanksgiving 2013

Happy Thanskgiving!

Our holiday looked very different this year than years past but it was still a good one and one that we will always remember.  Regardless of where we are located, we have so much to be thankful for!  Absence of family definitely makes you appreciate things so much more and we are so grateful for our family and friends among many other things!

Lucy made this in her class and we were so proud of it...beautiful!

We started out the morning slow and then went to watch the Macy's parade with some friends...it's tradition!  And we even got a surprise Krispy Kreme treat from our friend Kelly!

Then we had lunch with our friends with the traditional Thanksgiving feast!  It was great food although it wasn't Grandmothers!  We are so very thankful for the people who served us willingly on Thanksgiving day!

It is tradition here at the farm for the residents to decorate the Christmas tree so we were thrilled to be a part of that since we won't have our own this year!

Especially thankful for these three this Thanksgiving...

 And this special guy too!

We spent the rest of the day with friends, meeting in small group and praising the Father for all He has done for us, and even ended the evening playing Dodge Ball with friends!  Who knew it could be fun ha?!

This is a great reminder this Thanksgiving....
